SHE (Equally Represented Arts, 2021)-Fritz

Fritz, The Production Manager

dir. Lucy Cashion

voice actor, singer

SHE controls the radio station of the fascist regime in power. SHE's also the star of the broadcast. Her recording studio abounds with music and oysters. But in the nearby government camps full of misfits and would-be revolutionaries, only torture and starvation is thick on the ground. Tonight, however, SHE's realm feels different. The bombs sound closer. Time moves faster. But SHE will finish her radio show, and it will be her finest. If executing every number in the broadcast means some people need to die, so be it; it is a small sacrifice. The citizens need her and she will not let them down.
Moscow! (ERA, 2020 (virtual), 2015)-Fyodor Iliyitch Kulygin

Fyodor Iliyitch Kulygin

dir. Lucy Cashion

performer, assistant director, stage manager (2015 run)

ERA’s MOSCOW! is a drinking-game version of Anton Chekhov’s play THREE SISTERS. Olga, Irina, and Masha are sisters living in an insignificant town in Russia. They spend a lot of time talking about how all they really want to do is go back to Moscow, where everything is better. The town’s people come and go through the sisters’ house, which they own with their brother, Andrey. Everyone is so emotionally erratic – is it because they’re Russian? Perhaps it’s because they’re drunk. THREE SISTERS examines the frivolity of privileged life; MOSCOW! intensifies it with live music, dancing, and vodka.

The agony and the ecstasy of "self-help" get a delirious makeover in this madcap dance-theatre extravaganza. Part 1960's dance party and part Nietzschean nightmare, Whammy! prods and probes the American fever dream where Dr. Phil, Diazepam and daily affirmations crash headlong in self-medication, suicide and The Shirelles. WTF? Want to know the seven secrets to a sane self? You know you do! And there’s only one way to find out!

Theo

dir. Scott Miller

ensemble

This high-octane show includes every song from Green Day's album, American Idiot, as well as several songs from its follow-up release, 21st Century Breakdown. Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When the three disgruntled men flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces, Will is called back home to attend to familial responsibilities, and Johnny's attention becomes divided by a seductive love interest and a hazardous new friendship. An energy-fueled rock opera, American Idiot, features little dialogue and instead relies on the lyrics from Green Day's groundbreaking album to execute the story line.
